The Massachusetts Animal Fund is funded solely through a voluntary check-off on Massachusetts Resident Income Tax Form 1 and through donations made by check or online. To find out more about how to donate to the Fund, click here.
The below represents projected funding allocations as of FY2014.
The statute requires that the Fund must be used to:
– Offset costs associated with the vaccination, spaying, and neutering of homeless cats and dogs;
– Offset the costs associated with the vaccination, spaying, and neutering of dogs and cats owned by low-income residents; and
– Assist with the training of animal control officers consistent with section
151C of Chapter 140.
